Learn all there is to the ‘good life’ on this practical course on self-sufficiency and living off the land!
This 20 day fully immersive course is set over four modules, one per season, each five days long. Each module runs from Monday until Friday.
Subjects covered in the course will include:
- Choosing and constructing shelter options; including cabins, eco-pods and tiny houses
- Off-grid power solutions and water sources, storage and heating options
- Food options including vegetable gardening and keeping animals in a 4 acre rotational system
- Wild plants for food and making our own medicines, balms and tinctures.
- Harvesting, storing, preserving and cooking.
We cover everything you need to know about off-grid living and self-sufficiency. From how to keep the animals, make the cheese, curing and smoking. We’ll even show you how to make home-brews to enjoy when the hard work is done and the harvest is in.
Each five day module costs £485 per person booked separately.
Book all modules over the four seasons for only £1800. (If booked separately the cost is £1940).
To reserve your place a 25% deposit is required. Deposit is non-refundable unless we have to cancel the course for any reason.
These are provisional dates. All bookings made in advance for the first module will be price locked as we have already invested in all the materials and equipment needed for the first course.
This is the perfect course for anyone wanting to invest in knowledge and the skills for resiliency. Learn the way to a more connected and rewarding life and rest assured that you can ‘do it yourself’.
This course is led by Fraser Christian, who has spent the last eight years living in a self-built tiny house in the woods, fully immersed and in touch with his environment. He has recently invested in a 4 acre woodland plot and has a working self-sufficient model with surplus, for trading.
Courses can be residential (free wild camping) or non-residential (we have details of local trusted accommodation).
Evening meals are provided.
